I have a tutoring position in the first semester this year. Literature and Cultural Politics - the definition of "right up my alley". So, I'll be getting paid almost as much as I would if I were working full-time at the library, for only a couple of extra hours a week more work. And I'm pretty sure I'll get tutoring in the second semester, too; which makes me as rich as I've ever been in my life for the rest of the year. Plus, I get experience in academia, and plenty of free time for writing trenchant academic prose, communist propaganda, and my third album.

I am very happy for this, and other, reasons. :)

Does this mean you get to keep your office? (Read: Does this mean there is still going to be a handy space on campus for me to dump bags and to have sex in?)

Any chance they'll give you a swanky new computer?

And, if you're rich, does that mean you'll buy me presents? (Or V and chocolate. Damn the fact that there's a dairy right across the road.)

And, I so envy the Little Ones you'll be tutoring this year. You're going to be like the Best Tutor Ever. (And you can beat the silliness out of the students who would write "Best Tuta Eva!1!<3<3")
