vostoklakeGood news: The Evil Bitch Co-Worker has left to go teaching. Poor, poor kids. Happy, happy me. I'm just sorry I didn't get to give her an empty box of matches as a going away gift.
Less good news: the other chick around here with a PhD has got that lecturing job she was going out for. Which leaves me the most insanely overqualified library assistant on the planet. *sigh*
In other news, as a good socialist I'm opposed to marriage. Gay marriage, straight marriage, I don't see why the state should get involved in affairs of the heart. However, I'm all in favour of weddings, especially if I get to wear a pretty dress and people buy me presents and I'm allowed to be all icky-sticky-gooey over my sweetheart and no-one will tell us to get a room. :) So, bravo them chicks in San Francisco.
