The speakers are up and running. Theoretically, at least; I don't actually have any 5.1 audio to play on them. Yet. Hopefully there is decent home studio software out there which will let me create my own for not too much money... But anyway, what was happening was that I needed to switch off the built-in soundcard because that was interfering with the big fancy one that darthsappho got me for last Christmas.

Now to make sure the new printer works.
