The Bolivian revolution is anything but a party, say some people who're there. Damn, I'd love to get the self-satisfied middle-class anarchists who claim to be the protest movement in Wellington to read this article - and the associated comments.

In case you weren't keeping in contact, it's beginning to look like February 1917 in Bolivia. The people refuse to be ruled in the old way, and it's touch and go whether the government can force them.

I love the BBC World Service so very very much - I've started listening during the day, online, as well as after 1am when it's broadcast on FM here. It edumacates me.

In fact, case in point, it's the first story on the news as I type.
