Harsh but true

Labour don't deserve to win this election. John Key is pretty bloody far from being a Barack Obama, but the sheer desperation and negativity coming from Clark etc. is very reminiscent of John McCain. Substitute "he's a corporate fraudster" for "he's a terrorist Muslim communist", and you've got it pretty much perfect.

A positive campaign from Labour - and a slightly less no-content one from the Greens - might have made me change my mind that running for a new beginning on the political left was a good idea. Sadly, no.

Which isn't to say that Labour mightn't still pull it off, but either way, I am glad I don't have anything invested in that creepy bunch being re-elected.
