FLAWLESS VICTORY
Nov. 8th, 2007 11:40 pmAt Mother Russia, the crowd halved during my set.
Tonight, the crowd tripled.
Okay, there were only 2 people in there to start with, but still, I packed them in. And they yelled for encores. And I made $50 in CD sales - I sold all the CDs that my record company sent up a few weeks ago in one fell swoop - and gave away three Vostok Lake badges. And one crowd member bought me a beer, and another helped carry Lilian (who is a powerful but HEAVY little bitch) back to the car.
The organiser said that, unlike virtually every other female singer-songwriter he's had, I am "not boring" and he wants me back on a night where there are more than 10 people in the room.
In summary: Go me.
