ME: It's Witches' New Year.
MCW: Are you a witch?
ME: Well, I was when I was younger. Now I'm training to be a media-culture shaman, who can divine the future in the arrangement of magazines at supermarket checkouts.
MCW: ...oooh-KAY, Ms Crowley!

ME: The veils between the worlds are thin at this time of year.
MCW: It's pretty thin around you all the time.
