I pwn my job

For the last three days, I have been the top go-to person on my team for updating the details for all the Chamber of Commerce directories which my evil firm produces. Today, I took a two hour phone-call from one CoC contact woman who was panicking that the details on her list were wrong, and insisted on going through all of them personally rather than working via email. This and other feats of breakneck efficiency and stoic determination have gained me many brownie points and much kudos with my boss and her supervisor the incompetent loony, who have indeed started making noises along the lines of "why do we have this person doing the crappy job we hired her for when she's much more competent?" Whether that turns into anything other than just noise is unclear at this stage. Anyway, a concrete sign of their appreciation was letting me loose on the streets ninety minutes early today.

Started trying to build a studio set-up on Ubuntu. At the moment have succeeded in getting a couple of the software synths operating. A nice Depeche Mode circa 1982 sound to some of them. It may well be possible to do some of Small Group Psychosis via Linux.
