I pulled off a few good saves from one-on-one situations - it's amazing how many times that, if the keeper is assertive and gets in the striker's face, the striker will have a brain melt and kick the ball straight at the keeper (like in that one game you saw me play). I also put one 3Kings girl on the ground... both going for the same ball and my elbow was harder than her boobs. :)
They just ran us ragged and kept coming when we were out of puff. But I had a much better time today than I did last time, when we played the bottom of the league and won 3-0 - I had bugger-all to do and my biggest issue was not losing concentration. No fear of losing concentration against these Irish madwomen! Also of note that most of my Gaelic teammates were impressed by my display, so hopefully they won't be so snobby towards me next Gaelic season, if I decide to favour them with my presence again...
